Pacific Epoch tracks sales in four of China's largest department store chains, analyzing trends in product category and consumer confidence. This month’s surveys focus on sales during April and China's Labor Day Holiday (May 1-3), an important period for retailers. For this report, Pacific Epoch surveyed Parkson stores in Shanghai, Beijing, and Kunming; New World stores in Wuhan, Chengdu, Kunming, and Shanghai; Golden Eagle stores in Nanjing, Yangzhou and Xuzhou; and Intime stores in Ningbo, Hangzhou and Wenzhou.
