CAAC Competes for Travelors With Bullet Train
The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has issued a 17-item notice asking its local bureaus, major domestic airline companies and airports in Beijing and Shanghai to compete for passengers with the newly launched Beijing-Shanghai high-speed bullet train, China Business News reports. The measures CAAC suggested include ensuring planes arrive at the appointed time, reducing passenger delays and each airline company maintaining stand-by aircraft in Shanghai and Beijing airports, the report said.
