Baidu Forms Jobs Site Sub, Said to Earmark RMB 100m for Online Recruitment

Baidu (Nasdaq:BIDU) has established a wholly owned subsidiary named Shanghai Baidu Rencai Consulting to operate its recruitment site rencai.baidu.com, launched in April this year, qq.com reported July 21. The subsidiary currently has branches in seven cities and employs approximately 400 members of staff, according to the report. Baidu plans to launch an independent site for the service in August, the report said. Baidu is rumored to be planning an initial investment of RMB 100 million in online recruitment, the report said without disclosing a source.
