Yingli to Supply 70% “Golden Sun” PV Modules
Photovoltaic (PV) products manufacturer Yingli Green Energy (NYSE:YGE) will supply roughly 70% of the PV modules for the Ministry of Finance-sponsored Golden Sun solar subsidies program, the company announced on December 2. To date, the government has approved projects with a combined capacity of 272MW, the report said.
The company expects to receive payments of 70% of the subsidies upon conclusion of sales agreements, likely to be before product delivery, the report said. The majority of the module shipments are scheduled for the second half of 2011, according to the announcement.
