UnionPay To Offer DTV e-Payments

Chinese bank card network operator China UnionPay and Qingdao Municipal Radio & Television Bureau announced an electronic payment service for digital TV, reports China Securities Journal. With the service, users will be able to shop for, and pay for items and conduct online banking, via DTV service. According to China UnionPay, the service will offered to 5,000 users in Qingdao as a trial. China UnionPay assistant-to-the-president Yan Qiang said the service supports all UnionPay bank cards in China.
