Trina CEO: PV Market to Be Oversupplied in 2011

Photovoltaic (PV) products supply will exceed demand in the near term, following rapid expansion of overall production capacity last year, Trina Solar (NYSE:TSL) Chairman and CEO Jifan Gao told Solarbe.com on January 25.

Gao forecast that demand for polysilicon products will increase by around 30% y-o-y in 2011, according to the report.

Trina Solar anticipated aggregate shipments of 930-940MW in 2010, roughly the limit of its output capacity for the year.
