The9 (Nasdaq:NCTY) plans to start closed beta testing of its licensed 3D MMORPG Soul of the Ultimate Nation 2 ("SUN 2") on June 27, the company announced June 13 on the game's site. The9 has already begun issuing activation codes, the announcement said.

The game entered first-round technical testing in early June, according to an earlier posting on the site.
