Rumor: Spreadtrum Communications To List On Nasdaq
Shanghai based fabless handset chip company Spreadtrum Communications plans to list on Nasdaq in six weeks, according to a rumor reported China Business News. According to Spreadtrum CEO Wu Ping, Spreadtrum will switch its focus from TD-SCDMA to WCDMA once its TD-SCDMA chips move into mass production. Zhejiang-based TD-SCDMA terminal provider Holley Group also plans to list on Nasdaq soon, said the report. Neither Spreadtrum nor Holley commented on the rumors.
