Nov Int’l Air Passenger Vol Soars 30% YoY
China's civil aviation authority recorded 20.78 million air passengers in November, up 13.3% y-o-y, while the number of passengers on international routes with a terminus in China in November rose 29% y-o-y, according to figures supplied by the Civil Aviation Journal cited on Travel Daily December 17. Of the total, 19.29 million travelled on internal routes in the month, representing a m-o-m decline of 15.1% due to normal seasonal factors, the high base caused by the Shanghai Expo (May 1 – October 31) and the weather, the report said.
Passenger numbers on flights to Taiwan in November rose 23.1% y-o-y to 207,600, according to the report.
