Hu: China to Step Up Tax & Property Reforms
China will move forward on tax and the real estate reforms, said President Hu Jintao at the country's work conference for the second half of 2010, reports Xinhua July 23.
Several unnamed specialists from the Ministry of Finance's research institutes denied rumors that the MoF does not plan to launch tax trials in cities until 2012, Beijing Times reported separately July 23.
Property taxes will not affect the rising property prices, but they will reduce fluctuations in the market, said Jia Kang, Director of the Scientific Research Institute of the Ministry of Science, according to a report by China Business News.
