China Nov Polysilicon Imports Soar 45% MoM

China imported 6,153 metric tons (MT) of polysilicon in November, up 159.8% y-o-y and 45% m-o-m, Solarbe.com reported citing General Administration of Customs statistics. Over the first eleven months of this year, China imported a total of 41,898MT of polysilicon, the report said.

The surge in November imports offset a sharp decline in domestic polysilicon production from October onwards, as Chinese polysilicon producers shut down some capacity to conduct works maintenance and due to high natural gas and electricity costs, the report said.
