One hundred and thirty-five Chinese companies and institutes jointly set up China's Digital TV (DTV) Alliance on June 10, reports Beijing Times. DTV alliance members include Tsinghua University and Chinese home appliance manufacturer Haier (1169.HK). The alliance is divided into eight working groups, covering DTV standards, signals, chips, terminal products and programs. China's DTV industry is estimated to reach 650 billion Yuan in sales revenue by 2010, according to China's DTV Alliance.
