Air China VP: Direct Sales to Take 10% of 2010 Ticketing

Air China (0753.HK, 601111.SH) expects its direct ticket sales channels, including online booking and telephone sales, to generate RMB 6 billion in 2010, representing more than 10% of the company's expected total ticket sales, Beijing Business Today reported quoting company Vice President Zhang Lan on August 17.

Earlier reports said the country's three biggest domestic airliners ¨C Air China, China Eastern Airlines (0670.HK, 600115.SH) and China Southern Airlines (NYSE:ZNH, 1055.HK, 600029.SH) -- have partially reduced commissions paid to air ticketing agents.
