A-Shares: Shanghai Resurfaces Above 2,000

The Shanghai Composite Index rose 2.22% to close at 2030. 49, while the Shenzhen Composite Index climbed 3.35% to close at 563.61 on Monday. Trading volume on the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges reached RMB 90.21 billion and RMB 41.67 billion, respectively, on Monday.

Shares of Shaanxi Zhangze Electric Power (000767.SZ), Guodian Changyuan Electric Power Co. Ltd (000966.SZ), Northeast Electric Development Company Limited (000585.SZ) and XJ Electric Co. Ltd (000400.SZ) jumped 10.18%, 10.16%, 10.14% and 10.00%, respectively.

State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) announced plans on November 14 to invest RMB 1.16 trillion in grid-related projects in the next two to three years, reports 21st Century Business Herald quoting Lu Jian, assistant to the general manager. SGCC signed a RMB 100 billion contract for grid network reconstruction on the same day, said the report.
